AERO 45 DT240s/350s

Our new for 2019 Aero range is excellent, yes we shouldn’t sing our own praises, but the rims are awesome. So, it was only natural that we take one of the best carbon fiber rims available on the market and match it to some of the best hubs available on the market, DT Swiss. We are looking here at our general purpose 45mm deep carbon wheel here.
Our Aero range takes our best-selling Fast and Light rims and makes them lighter, by around 100g per wheelset. They still have all the qualities you liked in our FL series, the rims are aero, stiff, strong, tubeless ready, and wide but now are lighter.
How did we do that? Our FL series is constructed from Toray T700 carbon fiber. To better the weight and keep the quality we had to add some Toray T800 carbon fiber cloth to our recipe. The T800 allowed us to bring the weight down but also keep the wheels stiff.
We also improved the brake track when we were designing the new Aero wheels. Our FL wheels could tolerate heat up to 240°, but our new Aero wheels can cope with up to 300°.
We then used Sapim CX-Ray spokes to lace the wheels. Sapim has been around for over 100 years, and their aero CX-Ray spokes are the pinnacle of their design knowledge. These spokes are super light and super stiff.
You can then pick from either the DT Swiss 240S or 350S. The 240S is the lighter option, and the 350S is the more affordable option. Both hubs feature the legendary DT Swiss quality, and with one ride you’ll see why so many pros pick DT Swiss hubs.
As with all our wheels, the AERO 45 is backed by our two-year warranty.

Wide Rim Tech
