AERO 55

Light, durable, reliable; there are not enough words to describe the AERO Series. Introducing the 55mm member of the AERO Series; the Aero 55, a 55mm deep Wheelset by ICAN. Suitable for carbon racing bikes, the Aero 55 rim materializes from 100% carbon fiber (a combination of Toray T700 and T800 carbon cloths). The rim of this 700C wheelset features 18 holes (two less than the number of spoke holes on its equivalent in the Fast and Light series) on the front wheel, and 24 spoke holes on the rear wheel. The Aero 55 rim also features a 25mm external width which enables the wheel to provide more stability in comparison to Standard ICAN Wheelset equivalents.
The rim design features a UD Matt finish and a 2-way Clincher Tubeless Ready profile. The ICAN clincher design is famed for easier tire installation. Tubeless tires offer immunity to punctures and superior rolling resistance. On the side of the rim is a 3K Carbon Braking Track which offers higher brake heat resistance than 55mm equivalents in the Fast and Light Series.
Each wheel comes already fitted with an R01 hub. The rear hub is compatible with 10 and 11 speed Shimano Cassettes. The front hub connects to the rim through 18 aerodynamically sound CX-Ray spokes arranged radially. The rear hub is secured by 24 CX-Ray spokes arranged in a radial drive side and 2-cross non-drive side fashions.
Included in each purchase is a free set of skewers and carbon brake pads.

Sapim Secure Lock nipple is a locking mechanism that prevents nipples from untightening.Secure Lock nipple can achieve a stable and well defi ned deformation on the thread. Each nipple has an additional locking resistance of 18 +/- 3 cNm.
