AERO 45

A perfect carbon wheelset for your perfect carbon racing bike. ICAN’s AERO 45 is a 45mm deep carbon wheelset that belongs to the new 2019 Aero Series. This tubeless ready wheelset features 25 mm wide rims created in a 2-way clincher wheel profile. Unlike inflatable tires, tubeless options are immune to punctures. Wide rim technology offers more stability and rolling resistance. The wheelset is 100% carbon fiber; made from a combination of both Toray T700 and T800 carbon fiber cloths, this combination makes the wheelset lighter than equivalents from the fast and light series. The wheelset also features a 3K Carbon Braking Track which offers more brake heat resistance, better than equivalents in the Fast and Light Series.
The lightest carbon rims are attached to R01 hubs by black Sapim CX-Ray aerodynamic spokes. On the Front wheel, 18 Sapim CX-Ray spokes secure the R01 hub. On the Rear wheel, the 10/11 speed Shimano hub is secured by 24 Sapim CX-Ray spokes.
The Aero Wheelset Series is famed for its super-light features; the Aero 45 wheelset comes at a total weight of 1357g (594g on the front wheel and 763g on the rear wheel). The Aero 45, features a maximum rider weight limit of 232lbs or 105kg. The Aero 45 is also approved by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) for usage in UCI sanctioned roads.

Wide Rim Tech

Use either traditional tires with tubes, or tubeless tires without tubes. Tubeless tires can provide lower rolling resistance and better protection from punctures.

Sapim Secure Lock nipple is a locking mechanism that prevents nipples from untightening.Secure Lock nipple can achieve a stable and well defi ned deformation on the thread. Each nipple has an additional locking resistance of 18 +/- 3 cNm.
